Thai Elephant Orchestra on All Things Considered

This Saturday, All Things Considered on National Public Radio interviewed me and played some excerpts from the Thai Elephant Orchestra.

Read and listen to the link at

http://www.npr.org/2013/08/03/208338182/the-biggest-thing-out-of-thailand-an-elephant-orchestra

They cut out all mention of my partner in the orchestra, the elephant conservationist Richard Lair, who has lived in Thailand over 30 years and wrote Going Astray, the major book on Asian elephant conservation (published by the UN) and the co-author of the contemporary vetrinary manual. On the other hand, the video is of him conducting the orchestra, so you read about me and actually watch him.
